Report of Outreach Professor Lawrence E. Ginsberg, M.D.

I lectured to enthusiastic audiences at Edgardo Rebagliati Martins and Instituto Nacional De Enfermedades Neoplasicas (INEN) hospitals in Lima, and had daily unknown case sessions with the residents, as well as delivering two lectures to a joint session of the Peruvian Radiology Society and Peruvian Society of Oncology. Lectures included topics such as imaging of mucosal malignancy including HPV, imaging in the post-treatment head and neck cancer patient, perineural tumor spread, imaging of complications of head and neck cancer therapy, avoidance of pitfalls in head and neck imaging, and related topics. The sessions were attended by staff radiologists and staff specialists in Oncology, Head and Neck Surgery, Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Oncology. Local trainees in the same specialties and residents from other hospitals also participated. While in Peru, was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit Cuszco and Machu Picchu in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, an incredible experience that should not be missed.
