Frequency (for example, once per year, or twice per year, or once every two years, etc.): Once per year
Duration (a range of durations in acceptable): 1-2 weeks
The Host Organization will provide (describe what expenses and resources will be covered by the host organization): Depending on potential grant availability from other sources, the host organization will either use grant funding or cover expenses out of pocket for room and board, local transportation, hall rental, and audiovisual support.
Activities expected of the Professor:
- The professor will give between 3 and 5 lectures at a national Continuing Medical Education event during the 2-week professorship
- Apart from lectures at the conference, the professor will be expected to teach smaller groups, through a mixture of traditional lectures, perform case reviews, teaching-file reviews, and participate in direct teacher-to-student “view-box”/“workstation” teaching
- During each week he/she will give an average of 4-6 lectures and spend a sum total of approximately 20-25 hours in direct teaching sessions
- A diagnostic imaging specialist medical translator fluent in English and Ukrainian will be available for the conference. A portion of the conference will be broadcast live as a webinar
- Well equipped, modern lecture halls with LCD projectors will be available
- For hands-on apprentice-ship style teaching, state of the art MRI and CT scanners and PACS are available
