EARLY CAREER NEURORADIOLOGIST BENEFITS
To help ease the transition from your free in-training membership, ASNR offers a two-year transitional Junior Membership to those who have recently completed their Neuroradiology Fellowship. Those within their first 12 months after completion are eligible for a reduced dues rate of $200, and those 13-24 months out of Fellowship are eligible for a reduced dues rate of $400. You need not have been an ASNR Member-In-Training to receive these rates.
Contact membership@asnr.org with any questions.
The ASNR has created a special community dedicated to our early career/young professionals. The ASNR Young Professionals Committee develops specific programming for young professionals, publishes a young professionals newsletter, and provides mentorship opportunities for those early in their career. Visit the YPC page through the menu above to learn more.
The ASNR Annual Meeting presents a unique opportunity to interact with the Neuroradiology community, all at a substantially-discounted rate for Junior Members (same registration fee as Members-In-Training) and Members.
Attendance at the ASNR Annual Meeting provides access to approximately 2,000 professionals in the Neuroradiology community.
Opportunities to submit abstracts for scientific oral presentations, electronic scientific posters, electronic excerpta poster, and electronic educational exhibits are all available to Junior Members and early career professionals.
A newer offering, the Comprehensive Neuroradiology Course is a 2.75 day intensive, image-rich review of neuroradiology taught by award-winning educators. This high-yield, practical course covers the essentials of neuroradiology practice, including adult brain imaging, head and neck imaging, spine imaging, pediatric neuroradiology, and advanced imaging techniques in neuroradiology.
As a member, you’ll receive free access to all material in Education Connection, the education portal for the ASNR. Unique training materials, including the Neuroradiology Fellowship Curriculum, provide comprehensive material for the neuroradiologist-in-training.
Members receive online access to the American Journal of Neuroradiology (AJNR), the preeminent peer-reviewed journal in Neuroradiology. Members may also opt in to receive the print version of the journal.
AJNR furthers knowledge in all aspects of neuroimaging, head and neck imaging, and spine imaging for neuroradiologists, radiologists, trainees, scientists, and associated professionals through print and/or electronic publication of quality peer-reviewed articles that lead to the highest standards in patient care, research, and education and to promote discussion of these and other issues through its electronic activities.
AJNR publishes 12 issues per year, with more than 300 fully reviewed original research papers, review articles, clinical reports, and brief/technical notes in a typical year.
ASNR offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year for members to get involved in helping shape the future of the Society. From serving on a committee to participating in surveys and focus groups to helping share messages on social media, there are myriad opportunities to use your time and talent in impactful and meaningful ways.
